Blog 1:Severe weather warnings issued for UK

This picture is an example of  what the weather in the UK did nearly two weeks ago. Seeing the picture makes me understand why they gave out a new warning today for severe weather coming up. Of course the UK is not known for its sun or warm days but at the moment it is experiencing its stormiest period known for years so says the Met Office (UK version of our KNMI). Several other stations in the UK have also send out a flood warning to all people living near the countries' rivers and other bodies of water. It is also expected in Scotland that in the high points there can be snow and even some smaller blizzards involving strong gusts of wind capable of reaching well over 112 km/h.

The weather will start ´brewing´ in the next couple of days, starting today there will be heavy rainfall (snowfall in the north) accompanied with gusts of wind, on Wednesday is predicted to be "bright and breezy" and the ‘storm’ is expected to hit on Thursday and Friday in most places. One can only hope that it will not result in major flooding but seeing the history of some of the towns situated near the rivers this hope may be short lived.
